Responsible Gaming

This page explains what you can rely on before you follow any link on this site, and where the practical controls over your own gambling actually sit. Nothing on this page changes when you leave the site — every account setting, every check, every rule applies at the destination, not here.

Where can I find independent help from this site?

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations. They sit alongside the operator listings, not mixed in with them.

  • gambleaware.nsw.gov.au
  • gamblinghelponline.org.au
  • responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au

These three are the only outbound links on the site that carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on the organisation's own site. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them, unlike the commercial links to operators.

What should I decide before I follow an operator link?

Every operator listing ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout the site, including the front page and the end of every listing. A few habits make that check more useful:

  • Decide the amount you are willing to spend before you start, and treat it as already spent — this removes the pressure to justify a loss by continuing.
  • Never chase a loss by increasing a stake to recover it; the amount you have already lost has no bearing on the odds of the next bet.
  • Keep gambling money separate from borrowed money, so a losing session cannot turn into a debt.
  • Take breaks during a session — stepping away is often the only way to notice that entertainment has turned into pressure.
  • Involve someone else — a friend, family member, or one of the organisations above — as soon as gambling stops feeling like entertainment, rather than waiting for a crisis point.

What can this site not do for me, and where do those controls live?

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check its status, or enforce it. Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it — any such check happens at the destination after you follow a link. No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. Anything you can actually do with money begins only after you leave this site, at which point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls take over.
